They've Been With Jesus

Acts 4:1-22

• Verse 13 is the key - uneducated men who had been with Jesus
• The disciples couldn't help but to speak about what they witnessed

My life as an example

• Didn't grow up in a Christian home
• Dealt with parents' divorce, anger, teenage pregnancy and miscarriage, etc.
• No formal training (i.e. seminary)
• I know Jesus
• His life, death, and resurrection freed me from shame and guilt, showed my value as one created in God's image, and transformed my life to one of forgiveness and love
• My skills, abilities, talents, knowledge, wisdom - all from seeking and knowing Him
• Some of my prayers:
  • Wisdom and understanding
  • To be a blessing to others
  • Wreck me
  • Break my heart for what breaks Yours

Matthew 5:6 - "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."
