- God warned Cain to rule over his own sin when he doesn't do well
- Cain acted on envy and anger, giving in to sin
- "Am I my brother's keeper?" is a deflection of responsibility and accountability
Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."
- Not clashing - that causes breaks/rough edges (Job and his friends)
- Sharpening removes the roughness and hones the edge
- Personal responsibility and communal accountability
