Bearing Your Cross
- Discipleship has a personal cost - giving up worldly things, ideas, beliefs, etc.
- Bearing your cross means embracing sacrifice and suffering
- Jesus saw joy on the other side of the cross
- Jesus entered into the sufferings of others
- Jesus laid aside his own desire to do the Father's will and take on the suffering of the cross
- All those mentioned sacrificed something and endured suffering, yet had faith that went beyond their sacrifice and suffering
